Kids In Tracksuits

Just a quick one to say that anyone into Hip Hop beats, Jazz, Breaks or Big Beat, should check out the new LP from Kids in Tracksuits. Pomp had the album for a while, but he wouldn’t give me a copy (mainly because he’s about as reliable as ice, and still has my Evil Nine Fabric CD from about five months ago) so I just bought if off iTunes.
It’s one of those albums that work’s just as well in a club as it does in your lounge, although in places it makes your lounge feel like a club, and a club feel like your lounge.
I can’t be assed to write a whole load of bull about the album and stuff, or the boys themselves, so just do the right thing and check them out on the website below and save me the effort, you won’t regret it.

Jason Sho Green

I’ve always found it’s a bit harder to write about art than it is to review an album or describe a song (and really do it justice anyway) so I’ll just give this one a brief intro.

Retarded Robots

Jason Sho Green has been one of my favourite artists for a good few years, right back when he’d just started up youyesyou.net. Over the past few years he’s really come into his own style, and it’s really cool to watch someone progress like that, from little doodles in a sketch book to full blown exhibitions.

Anyway, I’ll let you make up your own opinions on it.

Check out his stuff at You, Yes You and jasonshogreen.com

A Few Decent Podcasts

It seems these days, that every DJ, band, radio show, celebrity dog, mum (you get where I’m going with this…) has got a podcast these days.
Fair enough, I don’t have one at the moment, but with DJing and constantly doing mixes to send out to people, I may make one soon.
I’m probably not the only one, but I end up spending ages trying to find decent podcasts to try and fill the iPod with, so here’s a list, with links, of the podcasts I’m currently into:

Hospital Records
Evil Nine
Marine Parade
Justice
Trash A definite peice of history…
Knowledge Magazine (will find the url a bit later, or google it)
