I ran across a very interesting article on the BBC News website today about the current laws and classifications for recreational drugs. It is based on an investigation by the RSA, which details the problems with the current policy, as well as the danger of many common drugs, including those which are currently unclassified.
(As you can see in the chart below, alcohol comes in very close to the top, right in between street quality methadone, and ketamine).

There are quite a few very good points raised that most people have been thinking for ages, but were either to scared to say or couldn’t speak loud enough (or perhaps just too stoned and couldn’t be bothered). Especially those about many ‘illegal drugs’ such as acid, being potentially harmless in the right circumstances.
